The Petch Building contains the Department of Biochemistry and Microbiology, Centre for Biomedical Research and the Science Stores. . The Petch Building has a grade level breezeway, allowing north-south pedestrian traffic to pass through the footprint of the building.  The building also has connecting links to the adjacent Cunningham and the Elliott Buildings at all three floor levels. The building was constructed in 1986, and has approximately 11,075 square meters of space consisting of three stories
